Privacy Policy
The short version: WriteKit processes your text inside your browser. We never receive the documents you write, count, clean or convert.
Last updated: October 2026
Your text stays on your device
All tools run locally in your browser. When you paste text, open a DOCX file for conversion or export a PDF, the processing happens with JavaScript on your computer. The content is never transmitted to WriteKit — there is no server component that could store it.
Local storage (IndexedDB)
Documents you explicitly save, plus editor settings such as theme and autosave drafts, are stored in your browser's IndexedDB database under the name "writekit". This storage belongs to your browser profile on this device: clearing your browser data removes it, and we cannot read it from anywhere else. You can delete saved documents from the editor at any time.
Advertising
WriteKit is free and may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Ad slots are clearly separated from tool content, and no advertising partner ever receives the text you write.
Analytics
This version of WriteKit does not run analytics or tracking scripts of its own. We do not build visitor profiles and do not sell data, because we do not collect it.
Changes to this policy
If the way WriteKit handles data changes, this page will be updated at the same time. Material changes — for example adding analytics — will be stated plainly here.
